Swan has a Psychology Degree from Curtin University, Western Australia. She worked in a before and after school care centre for two years in Australia. Being exposed to a different education system helped her to understand that learning can be fun and can be everywhere! Swan then returned to Singapore to work in White Lodge as a Kindergarten Teacher. She has also worked as a soft skill trainer for critical thinking skills, communication skills and leadership skills for children from 4 to 16 years old and adults.
Swan’s philosophy is that “Childhood is the most important period of our lives. Being able to involve myself in early childhood education gives me a chance to give the best experience to the children and to be a positive influence in their lives. Working with children is a privilege for me as I always believe that it is a reciprocal relationship. As much as we can nurture our children with knowledge, the children have their own ways to teach us about life.”
