As part of our objective to continue to foster a positive school community environment, White Lodge hosted our Parents’ Coffee Morning on Monday 8th October at the Holiday Inn Orchard. Parents from all seven centres attended the session for an opportunity to hear from our Founding Director, Ms Jayne Nadarajoo, who announced our first childcare opening in River Valley in January 2019 as well as plans on new developments planned for 2019.
In addition, she shared a number of new initiatives at White Lodge including Drumming and ‘Drop Everything And Read’ (DEAR) programme, as well as the extra perks such as free early drop-off for all students, and free daily Activity Clubs from 2.15pm-3.15pm and a complimentary child-minding from 3.15pm-5pm for all full day enrolments.
We also invited a guest speaker, Ms Kristin Mariella, RIE/Respectful Parenting advocate, who shared an enlightening presentation on setting emphatic limits calmly and confidently, whilst allowing our children to experience natural consequences.
Do note the following:
Saturday 20 October: United Nations Day
Thursday 22 & Friday 23 November: Annual Concert
Ms Selina Boyd from School Notices Asia wrapped up the session by introducing the free-to-use noticeboard and marketplace website for parents to buy, sell and advertise with one another.
If you haven’t joined the White Lodge parent community yet, please do so! The more parents who use it, the more useful it becomes!
And in the month of October, parents who join up will also be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of Gold Class movie tickets!
