We are proud to announce the launch of our Early Intervention Support Programme (EISP) in collaboration with Melbourne Specialist International School for children with additional needs to attend preschool alongside their peers. This wonderful programme will provide a quality inclusive learning environment for children with additional needs and disabilities. We have designed special learning areas to meet the individual needs of the children based on their developmental needs. Small class sizes and wonderful teachers trained in special needs education will help nurture each and every child enrolled in the EISP.
We are advocates for inclusion and embed inclusive practices into our delivery of early learning programmes at White Lodge. This differentiates us from other preschools as we are committed to giving all children a right to education regardless of their disabilities. Inclusive classrooms are filled with diverse learners and facilitates the academic and social success of students both with and without disabilities.
The programme will be co-ordinated by Aditi Rao who brings in a unique mix of social welfare and business management with her strong academic background. She started her career as a social worker and currently has 11 years’ experience of working in the field of disability, early childhood education and inclusive education. She has extensive experience in the autism movement in India and South Asia: raising awareness, sensitizing, and training parents and professionals. Aditi has also worked with governmental and non-governmental committees advocating for the dignity and rights of persons with disabilities. She is also a trained Advanced Certified Autism Specialist, from IBCCES (USA).
She has helped many children successfully transition into mainstream schools.
Aditi has always been passionate about her work and has contributed towards empowering parents and supporting children to do their best and believes that every child is special and loves making the journey of learning fun for them.
