Graduating with a Bachelors in Management studies, Ms Arti pursued a Masters in Advertising and Public Relations. With extensive experience in the tourism industry, she later pursued an International Diploma in Montessori Training to educate herself on the principles of early childhood care and education, following her passion to be actively involved in the learning and development of young children. Following a brief teaching endeavour in India, she began her journey working with young children and joined White Lodge a couple of years ago as a teacher to continue to commit to the role of being an early childhood educator. Gathering relevant teaching experiences in other White Lodge centres, she joins White Lodge East Coast as the Principal to continue in her role to support and mentor the teachers.
I believe that a kindergarten experience must nurture social-emotional skills in each child and create joyful school memories. Kindergarten is a magical journey, and one of my jobs is to develop the imagination and create memorable rituals, traditions, and celebrations that honour childhood. I believe that children are active learners, creative thinkers; and develop the ability to make good choices as well as work cooperatively and be kind and responsible. I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which they are able to develop emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially.
